Project Management Resource For Managers and Board Members
If you’re the manager or board member of organizations facing a capital improvement project, you’re my primary audience, For many of you, this can be unfamiliar ground and the consequences of a troubled project can be profound. And even if you’ve had experience in the past, there may be discussions here that will help you manage your project more gracefully and provide resources to your own staff who may have limited project experience. My goal is to provide both a broad overview of the project delivery process as well as more nuts and bolts guidance on specific issues.
Stories Retold
For many years I’ve found that I tell the same stories and use the same examples to communicate with my clients about how to successfully approach their projects. While every project is unique, common themes always arise. It’s these themes that I want to discuss to explain particular issues.
Accessible Information
It’s important that specific information is easily accessible. Look at the Table of Contents tab for an overview of posts. Each post is blessedly short and linked to further posts that may be useful.
Contact me
Rather than craft long discussions of every possible issue, I’ve been more general. If you have a question, don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m happy to personally answer questions or expand on topics that you find interesting. I would be glad to schedule a complimentary meeting to discuss your project.
For Design, Project Management and Construction Professionals
I’m writing for design, project management and construction professionals too. These posts may provide insight into the perspective of your clients and provide a resource that you can share with them.
